Channel Manager – Upper MidAtlantic

The CPG Building Products Channel Manager is responsible for developing and executing AZEK’s / TimberTech’s sales territory – level distributor and dealer strategy in collaboration with AZEK’s / TimberTech’s sales management team (e.g. CPG Building Products Sr. Vice President Field Sales and the appropriate RSM).


Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Create distributor and dealer plans, monitor performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Recruit, sign and ramp up new distributor and select dealers consistent with the territory level distributor and dealer strategy. Establish and maintain contracts.
  • Manage AZEK’s / TimberTech’s relationships with distributors and select dealers.
  • Introduce AZEK / TimberTech’s programs to distributors and dealers and gain commitments (e.g. Allegiance).
  • Train distributor and dealer representatives.
  • Develop and manage a dealer target / conversion list.
  • Schedule and conduct periodic joint dealer calls with distributor representatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with dealer management and field sales personnel.
  • Schedule and conduct periodic field sales calls with dealer sales representatives (when appropriate).
  • Ensure AZEK’s / TimberTech’s Field Sales representatives conduct periodic end user events (e.g. contractor days) and joint field sales calls with dealer sales representatives.
  • Actively participate in the resolution of customer concerns / complaints.  Assist in the warranty claims process in the field by sending data and information to the Warranty team / Customer Service Department.
  • Keep Regional Sales Manager informed of key issues / changes occurring in assigned territory such as; competitor programs / products / actions, changes in dealers / distributors, dealer personnel, etc.
  • Be regularly available and responsive to customer’s real time needs.
  • Create and maintain current customer records using company provided automated systems (e.g. CRM).
  • Actively manage and maintain an up to date Outlook calendar reflecting all appointments / schedules.
  • Complete expense reports, sales reports and other paperwork.

Skills & Abilities

Bachelor’s Degree (four year college or university)

Four to ten years related experience

Computer Skills
Applies skills in Microsoft Office products ( excel, powerpoint, word)Use of computer to enter data, create reports, correspondence, etc.

Certificates & Licenses
Valid drivers license.
